Bhante Sathi is a monk (bikkhu) in the Theravada tradition. He was born in Kandy, Sri Lanka and his spiritual interests began in his early teenage years. He was ordained as a novice monk at age 19 and received his training under Wattegama Dhammawasa Maha Thera at Sri Subhodaramaya International Bikkhu Center in Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He received higher ordination after three years of Bhikku education and practice. In Sri Lanka as a fully ordained monk, he taught meditation and counseled people with many walks of life, using Buddhist teachings (Damma). In September 1999, Bhante Sathi traveled to the United States from Sri Lanka, to teach and practice at the Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara in Southfield, Michigan. As a resident monk at the Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara he traveled around the United States and Canada teaching meditation, conducting meditation retreats and sharing Dhamma by accepting invitations, received mainly from locals who were interested in meditation.Bhante Sathi was invited to share his knowledge of Buddhist teachings and in meditation by Minnesota residents in 2003. Bhante Sathi has stayed in Minnesota ever since, traveling frequently between Chanhassen, the Twin Cities area, Northfield, Stillwater and Mankato sharing Dhamma and teaching meditation. He taught extensively, conducted retreats and continues to do so throughout the year in other parts of Minnesota as well.Bhante Sathi has a particular interest in what is common to all traditions and all schools of Buddhism, particularly regarding the practice of meditation. Since establishing himself in Minnesota, Bhante dreamed of opening a meditation center where people of all traditions could come together and practice Dhamma and meditation. With this long-term goal in mind, he established The Triple Gem of the North, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the practice and teaching of meditation and Dhamma.

Signs of Life Radio is sponsored by Forever Family Foundation, a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization seeking to educate the public about the afterlife by sharing evidence that our consciousness survives our physical death. The radio show plays a significant role in our quest to change world views by presenting weekly featured guests who discuss their work while providing an opportunity for listeners to call in with questions and views in an effort for us all to reach the truth. Our guests include medical doctors, researchers, scientists, mediums and authors. Typical subjects explored on the show have been ESP, telepathy, remote viewing, consciousness research, mediumship, near death experiences, reincarnation, altered states, dreams, out of body experiences, apparitions, survival research, and physics. The list is seemingly endless as science is in a constant state of discovery. Forever Family Foundation also seeks to help further research and, as such, is involved in many endeavors. To further support the goals of the foundation, membership is free and includes a published and mailed quarterly newsletter featuring interesting articles by noted people in the various fields of Survival of Consciousness. As they continue to crop up throughout the United States, members also have the option of attending Afterlife Discussion Groups where available, providing a free and safe environment to talk about all matters relating to the afterlife. Lectures and medium demonstrations are sponsored on a regular basis, and a huge two day seminar featuring world renown presenters is scheduled for January 19th & 20th, 2008 in San Francisco. The Sign Registry, available via our website or directly at www.thesignregistry.com, is a place where you can leave a sign that you would like to send to a loved one after you pass; and upon your passing, your loved one can log onto our site to verify if some unexplained phenomena they have received was in fact the very sign you left for them. To provide the general public with a dependable source of mediums, the foundation supports a program that determines a mediums proficiency in spirit communication, conducted and scored under controlled conditions. A visit to the Forever Family Foundation website, www.foreverfamilyfoundation.org, contains a wealth of information and further details about the various programs provided by the foundation.
