The mysterious figure of King Arthur has fascinated the world for generations. This series delves into the distant past in search of the facts surrounding the Arthurian legend.
Legends of King Arthur
This is the Arthurian legend of Tristan and Iseult. It is a tale of love, honour, intrigue, betrayal and jealousy, ending ultimately in tragedy. This story predates that of Lancelot and Guinevere, and is one of the most influential romances of the medieval period, inspiring many artists, from story-tellers to painters to composers.
(Summary by Joy Chan)

Librivox: King Arthur and His Knights by Radford, Maude L.
Le Morte d'Arthur (spelled Le Morte Darthur in the first printing and also in some modern editions, Middle French for la mort d'Arthur, "the death of Arthur") is Sir Thomas Malory's compilation of some French and English Arthurian romances. The book contains some of Malory's own original material (the Gareth story) and retells the older stories in light of Malory's own views and interpretations. First published in 1485 by William Caxton, Le Morte d'Arthur is perhaps the best-known work of English-language Arthurian literature today. Many modern Arthurian writers have used Malory as their source, including T. H. White for his popular The Once and Future King . (Summary from Wikipedia)
Librivox: Morte d'Arthur, Le - Vol. 1 by Malory, Thomas, Sir
A collection of Arthurian tales retold for children. (Summary by Joy Chan)
