“My Crazy Ex” tells the extraordinary-but-true stories of past relationships that went seriously awry when one partner’s behavior goes from romantic…to excessive…and then to the extreme.
My Crazy Ex
In the small town of Peckham, California, many men die for excessive effort during sexual intercourse. When a scientist from the Brandt research laboratory is found dead in a motel, the government sends Agent Neil Agar (William Smith) to investigate the mysterious deaths. He suspects that the deaths may be related to some experiments of Dr. Susan Harris (Anitra Ford), who is researching bees in the Brandt facility.

Adelaide University Student Radio, on Radio Adelaide 101.5 FM.
Radio for the politically-minded insomniac. Instead of sleeping, why not stay up late and be entertained by our earthy blend of news, politics, social issues, and petty squabbling. Alongside discussion of news and current events, Left, Right, and Centre has a strong focus on the exploration of nonstandard issues, with the occasional detour into the quirky and the absurd. Allow Timothy, Mateo, Casey, and Christopher – four of the loveliest people you’re ever likely to meet – to engage you in a discussion of questionable quality and excessive duration.
During and after the show, write to us either through the facebook group, or via email.

One of the common misconceptions about ADHD is that it occurs only in children. The reality is that ADHD can affect people of all ages. It is estimated that in the United States alone, nearly 8 million adults have ADHD. While inattentiveness, impulsivity, and hyperactivity are the same hallmark features of both child and adult ADHD, these symptoms often manifest quite differently in adults. For example, hyperactivity in the child may be excessive running and climbing, while in the adult it is driving too fast. Impulsivity in the child can show up as blurting out answers in class, whereas for the adult interrupting colleagues during a business meeting would be likely. Recognition of the symptoms of ADHD that impact everyday life—at home, at work, and socially—is critical. The good news is that adult ADHD is a treatable medical condition, when recognized and addressed with an eye toward optimal management. Current data suggests that further continuing education and professional development is warranted to address clinical practice gaps related to diagnosis and management of ADHD in adults. In this neuroscienceCME Live and On Demand activity, expert faculty will explore best evidence to help clinicians achieve best practice as it relates to assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult ADHD. This activity also includes a special "After the Show" segment during which the faculty answers additional audience questions in an informal Q&A session.

A cardinal feature of bipolar disorder is the irregular recurrence of alternating abnormal mood states including depression, mania, and mixed states. Mania is frequently revealed retrospectively; patients are often not accurate in their recall of the severity and duration of symptoms, which can add further complexity to diagnosis. Symptoms of mania can include racing thoughts, pressured speech, irritability, lack of sleep, sexual preoccupation, excessive energy, and expansive mood, all of which can lead to problems at home, work, or school. Symptoms vary across individuals and disease course, and are often accompanied by comorbidities, all of which can pose diagnostic challenges. Delayed treatment has been shown to be associated in some cases with increased hospitalizations, greater risk of suicide, emergence of comorbid conditions, and global impairment. Once stabilized, maintenance treatment—pharmacotherapy, patient and family education, and psychosocial support—must be considered to prevent relapse, achieve better stability of mood, and improve function. In this interactive and evidence-based neuroscienceCME Live and On Demand activity, the expert faculty will translate the evidence to improve outcomes in patients through better recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of bipolar mania. This activity also includes a special "After the Show" segment during which the faculty answers additional audience questions in an informal Q&A session.

Debt Management On The Go
Patients with sleep-wake disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, shift work sleep disorder, and jet lag disorder are complex in their presentation and pose significant therapeutic challenges. Sleep-wake disorder patients often present with the symptom of excessive sleepiness and although highly prevalent and detrimental to the patient, society, and the healthcare system, excessive sleepiness remains under-recognized as well as not appropriately managed. Both patients and physicians often view sleepiness as a normal phenomenon; patients may not mention it, and if they do, physicians may not view it as a serious symptom in need of further attention. In part, the difficulty may arise from the fact that patients often do not complain of excessive sleepiness but instead may use terms like fatigue, tired, and lack of energy that may not raise clinical concern or may lead to misdiagnosis (e.g., depression) and inappropriate treatment. In some cases, patients may report problems with their memory or concentration, or automobile crashes. In fact, patients often do not mention anything at all unless some consequence has ensued, like an automobile crash. In this
neuroscienceCME Live and On Demand activity, the expert faculty will examine the challenges of sleep-wake disorders from the primary care and sleep specialist perspective with the goal of providing tools for improved recognition, assessment, and coordinated care of the whole patient. This activity also includes a special "After the Show" segment during which the faculty answers additional audience questions in an informal Q&A session.
The Complexities of Managing Patients with Sleep-Wake Disorders: The Need to Treat the Whole Patient
Musical worlds colorfully collide in the form of The Station. Paired in a music scene long-dominated by excessive, guitar-heavy outfits dropping into 10-minute jam after jam of trading solos, they have been able to discover a newly-formed and rarely traveled crevice in today’s wall of sound. While guitar-rich in essence, The Station has managed to produce a sound void of the same all-too similar, stagnant riffs. Somewhere tastefully aligned between the progressive rock style of Geddy Lee’s Rush, American hard rock, the latter days of John Coltrane and the many fiery incarnations of saxophonist extraordinaire Skerik lie The Station.
Now in their tenth year, The Station, recently voted Illinois Times' "Best Original Band" and "Band Most Likely To Make It Big," find themselves reinvigorated and replenished, steadily moving forward with a healthy dose of live performances from throughout the country and ample new material. After already releasing three studio albums-2001’s FUMUNDA, all that lies between (2004), Playground (2005), the band released, Speed of Sound (2008 Double-Live), a two disc monster recorded in their hometown of Springfield, Illinois in November 2007. Considering the band was recognized and revered as one of Jambase’s Top Ten Road Dogs of 2006 and 2007 the band hasn’t allowed their tireless road schedule to get too much in the way of their burgeoning live and studio success. The Station is planning to head back to the studio in early 2009 for the long awaited studio follow up to 2005's "Playground".
