For many of us the election of Barack Obama as our 44th president of the United States marks a tremendous and significant change. For people all around the world, this also represents an opportunity unlike any other time in history. People everywhere are 'ready' for change; ready to 'participate' in whatever manner possible to create a global society that is united in peace and compassion. As we evolve, so do our needs. Barack Obama comes to us as a direct manifestation of what it is we have asked for, hoped for, and prayed for; bringing to this highest office the intellect, skills, and balance of mind, body and spirit that will help carry us all into the new paradigm. It is vital that we not loose our momentum, or focus on the task at hand. It is imperative that we stay connected, and find whatever means possible to participate in remaining united for the global cause. Each month, host Catherine Bradford and Arlene Tognetti will help you stay informed and connected by reviewing the past 30 days of political issues, focusing on the Obama administration and what they are doing to lead us into the future. We hope you join us for this important show. Thank you.
Eye on Obama: GeoPolitical News
Way back in 2004, when John Kerry was challenging George W. Bush for the highest office in the land, few Americans had ever heard the word blog – let alone spent much of their free time devouring the most passionate and incisive among them. What a difference an embattled administration makes!
Today, blogging is not only the New Journalism, it’s a major force in shaping our nation’s political opinions. So it should come as no surprise that FOX News Radio selected eight of BlogTalkRadio’s most passionate and incisive hosts to voice their opinions about Election 2008 in the mainstream.
From Oct. 6 -10, four hosts from our Heading Left Channel and four from Heading Right squared off in Election 2008: Battle of the Blog Talkers, a tournament to determine America’s best blog talker from each side of the political spectrum.
On Monday, Oct. 13, “FOX Across America” host Spencer Hughes, announced the winners from each faction, who will go on to co-host a full week of Election 2008 specials with him beginning October 20.
And those victorious BlogTalkRadio hosts are: David McLaughlin of Rome, Ga., and Kevin Ross of Los Angeles, who have bee crowned America’s Best Blog Talkers for the left and right, respectively.
