The most famous country singer that you've never heard of. Follow rising country music singer-songwriter, Jon Miller, as he works to bring himself into the limelight of country music stardom and chase his dreams. About the artist: Many people on the Gulf Coast have become familiar with Jon over the last few years from his many performances where he has opened for major country acts including The Charlie Daniels Band and Trace Adkins. Over the last few years he has played down in Gulf Shores, Al for the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival. "Country music is BIG, real BIG. I think there are miles and miles of undiscovered and uncharted territory in country music." This is how Mobile, Al native, Jon Miller, describes the music that he loves. It was also his quest to discover some of these places when he started picking and recording the songs for MORE. When he started looking through all of his original songs, he decided to ignore conventional wisdom and avoid recording any SAD songs. He says, "I have such a great life! I have a wonderful family, great friends, an ongoing relationship with God, what in the world do I have to complain about?" While it may seem rather strange for a country singer to sing and write positive songs exclusively, for Jon it's simply a reflection of his own life. He prides himself on writing and recording music that reflects and genuinely expresses his own life. With that in mind he challenged himself to write and sing a collection of songs that were not only positive and energetic but also reflective and surprisingly meaningful at times. MORE is the new CD by Jon Miller that was recorded in Nashville at Marrs Recording Studio. David Summer plays Selected Duets for Flute.
Using his home recording studio, David has recorded some of the duets from the book Selected Duets for Flute, Volume 1 Edited by H.Voxman.
These flute duets are standard learning material for flute students taking flute lessons and can be fun to play for all flutists.
In addition to being educational, the duets can also be used by two flutes in performance. They are especially effective for wedding ceremonies, church services and other occasions calling for elegant music.
This podcast contains the recordings of both flute parts, played as a duet. As a resource for flute students and flute teachers, David has also recorded each of these duets in a flute 2 only version that can be used as a play along.
