Mountain Stage is a radio show produced by West Virginia Public Broadcasting, and distributed by National Public Radio and the Voice of America's satellite radio service. It is a two-hour music show taped before a live audience, usually in the Cultural Center Theater in Charleston, West Virginia, although it travels to other venues in the United States and Canada several times each year. It has been on the air since 1983. The program showcases very diverse music, from the traditional to the brand new, from roots music to jazz. Over the years, the show has featured such international luminaries as R.E.M., Phish, Barenaked Ladies, Galactic, Bruce Hornsby, the Derek Trucks Band, Chris Thile, Bell X-1, Judy Collins, They Might Be Giants, Norah Jones, Hubert Sumlin and Pinetop Perkins, Charles Brown, Martina McBride, Little Big Town, Amos Lee, Joan Baez, Jakob Dylan and Regina Spektor to name only a few, as well as over a hundred West Virginia artists. Usually four or five guests will appear on any given show.

Drew Blackard - Music from Without a Knife [An Acoustic Podcast]
It was 2005 when I realized my long-held desire to bring originally produced content to a viewing audience via emerging technologies. With a focus on entertainment, Engineworks and BlackShoe Films, along with R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe began production on the feature film Johnny Berlin in that year. Engineworks productions continue to be shown at film festvals world-wide, U.S. television, web-based content distributors, as well as art film houses accross the globe.
