Deep sea: 1000m below the surface no light, immense pressure and icy temperatures. The deep sea encompasses more than 90% of the planets habitat. Yet we know less about these depths than about the moon. This film documents the technical, scientific, and ecological challenges of deep sea researchers. Scientists work worldwide together to collect data on the physical state of the upper ocean. With more than 3000 autonomous floats they monitor the oceans for influences on weather systems like El Nino or the monsoon. Does it affect global climate change? Does the deep sea offer solutions for the CO2 issue? Researchers in the Okinawa Trough are trying to find out. The sea floor harbors enormous amounts of resources: oil, natural gas, methane. Scientists work hard to try and locate these materials. Millions of deep sea dwellers are waiting for their discovery. The Census of Marine Life is trying to catalogue these bizarre ocean creatures before they disappear. The expenditures comeing with these projects are enorm
Operation Deep Sea: Shedding Light in the Darkness
There’s a long-standing joke here at Palmer that runs something like: “If you like organized religion, Palmer may not be the place for you.” If you are looking for a Christian community that is neat and tidy, a place that has all the answers to all our questions about life – Palmer may not fit your search.
We are committed to being a community for all God’s beloved children, but we don’t feel called to be all things to all people. If you are a seeker after God and prefer a living, vital life of faith, Palmer could be for you. If you are searching for a Christian community where you do not have to check your heart or your mind, your questions or your struggles at the door, Palmer could be for you. If you are looking for a community that helps people translate their faith into everyday life, Palmer could be for you. If you are looking for a community that seeks to dismantle the barriers and boundaries that divide us; a community that sends out a mix of people with a diversity of opinion; a community that is not of one mind about any particular issue but prays to be of one heart in seeking to love God and each other, Palmer could be for you. If you are looking for a community that doesn’t just talk about prayer but prays, doesn’t just talk about serving but serves, a community that doesn’t just want to “play church,” but that seeks God’s purpose and will for our lives, Palmer could be for you.
I have the great joy and privilege to serve in this place for God with an incredibly gifted and faithful group of people that I have come to know and love. Every day I see God’s presence at work here at Palmer. Every day I see lives changed and transformed. Every day I see people shedding tears of sorrow and tears of joy.
If you are seeking a community of sojourners, come and see us. Come and make this a better place. Come and be fed. Come and be set free for God.

Ron said in an interview one time and this show proves it! Ron also believes you can't help someone if they don't know where YOU have been. They need to have something to relate too. Ron burtel honesty is never a doubt on the show! Example, From one of his first interview on BolgTalkRadio....
At Ron’s low point several years back, he feared that – even with his svelte new figure – he couldn’t continue living in this cruel, cruel world.
“My then-girlfriend and I courted for a couple of months, and when we were getting ready to have that magical moment, when I got naked, she saw my skin,” Ron said on BlogTalkRadio's “World Talk Live!” “I looked like a deflated balloon. It grossed her out. She broke up with me that night – asked me to leave. And that about killed me. I literally sat out in my truck and I had a gun and I went through all this stuff – I lost the weight and I’m still getting’ treated like this? I was going to kill myself. But then I said, You know what, she’s not worth it.”
After moving from his hometown of Kennesaw, Ga., to Los Angeles in the mid-1
