Confident in the birth of a longed-for son and heir, Rembrandt is determined to expose the conspiring murderers and builds his accusation meticulously in the form of the commissioned painting, uncovering the seamy and hypocritical side to Dutch Society in the Golden Age. Rembrandts great good fortune turns. Saskia dies. Rembrandt reveals the accusation of murder in the painting and the conspirators plan revenge. They set out to discredit him at home and abroad. They plant a treacherous mistress, Geertje, to seduce him. They try to blind him. They plan his social and financial ruin, and to create the circumstances for his slide into penury, insult his young mistress Hendrickje, conspire to destroy his son, and bring Rembrandt to his knees. The bold and courageous painting of The Night Watch, exceptional in aesthetics and content, is Rembrandts most celebrated painting, it consolidated his reputation as a master-painter but it also destroyed him socially and financially. Jonathan Thomas and His Christmas on the Moon is a daily childrenâ€™s series that ran between Thanksgiving and Christmas in 1938. The story begins with six year old Jonathan Thomas lying in bed on Christmas Eve with his teddy bear Guz. While he is lying in bed two elves slide down a moonbeam into his room. Guz, his teddy bear, chase the elves back up the moonbeam and Jonathan Thomas follows in order to get his Guz back.
Upon reaching the moon Jonathan Thomas meets the Man in the Moon and his horse Gorgonzola. After being accused of kidnapping Santa Claus, the troop is commanded to bring back him in time for Christmas.
On their adventure they confront evil witch, a dragon with thirteen tales and they meet several characters from the Lewis Carol classic: Alice in Wonderland.

“The others tell me that I waste my time on my visits to you Alexi,” said Henschel, from his seat at the table in Alex’s cell. Henschel’s eyes darted around the room once more. Alex had noticed the old man was exhibiting more and more signs of madness. “They say you are too great a risk, and that I should simply kill you,” He smiled, trying to gauge Alex’s reaction.
“And is that what you intend to do?” asked Alex morosely. The visits from Henschel were becoming ever more alarming, and Alex didn’t expect to survive much longer. Perhaps this would prove to be the moment.
“Oh, I can’t do that,” Henschel giggled, with a wild light in his eye. “You are much too powerful Alexi, don’t taunt me. But you are a risk. You must try to fight the enemy within yourself, to come back to us!”
