Michael Korpi Jr. had it all. Straight A's, star athlete, talented musician, but his weakness for online poker derailed his life. Dusty Schmidt was once known as one of the top amateur golfers in Southern California before a heart attack at age 23 took him off the golf course, and put him in front of a computer screen. Four million dollars later, he is regarded as one of the worlds best online poker players. Poker was once a blue collar game played in smokey back rooms over beer soaked green felt tables, until a chubby accountant from Tennessee shocked the world by turning a $39 buy in on an online poker site, into a $2.5 million dollar first prize at the 2003 World Series of Poker. Over the next few years the entire world learned the game of No Limit Texas Hold 'Em. I you watched the poker boom on TV like the rest of us, it seemed like everyone was getting rich. Some were, but the fundamental rule of any game involving chance is that in order for one to win, another must lose. The truth behind the hype is that there is a dark side to this game, one that you won't see on ESPN. Drawing Dead follows the lives of two players, Michael and Dusty, as they deal with the highs and the lows of America's future favorite pastime, internet poker.
Drawing Dead: The Highs and Lows of Online Poker

METAL MOTIVATION takes the power and aggression of heavy metal and combines it with the proven principles of personal achievement to create a system of "life mastery" that obliterates weakness and strengthens personal resolve. This is not merely "Tony Robbins dipped in metal"—it’s a completely unique "metalosophy of success." As the originator’s say, "IT AIN'T SELF-HELP, IT'S METAL HELP!"
Metal Motivation: Daily Screams for Living Aggressively (mp3)
I was recently a victim of Internet identity theft. The perpetrator found a weakness in my URL and attacked my website. Within 24 hours, my URL was reported by several people to be a "phishing" website. That means the perpetrator was essentially able to take over my site and use it to try to steal people’s personal information.
Even after I cleaned up the problem, it was still a hassle. I had to file reports with Microsoft, eBay, the government and even the Internet Crimes Division of my local police department to let them all know I was a victim of fraud.
So in this audio, you’ll hear how you can avoid common Internet security problems, like the one I just described, to make your site as secure as possible. And you’ll hear it straight from the guy who got me out of that mess. Internet security expert Nick Gilbert is the owner of a popular web hosting company and is also the developer of the Guerilla Internet Marketing Course.
Important Security Issues Discussed In This Audio
* How to make sure you’re not opening the door for hackers with third party scripts on your site
* How to make your HTML codes and directories safe and untouchable
* Ways to keep hackers from seeing your usernames and passwords - believe it or not, your passwords are probably vulnerable right now
* What you’ll want to do before you get rid of your old computer to prevent deleted personal information from being retrieved by hackers
* How to make sure your secure wireless router really is secure
* What a "man in the middle" attack is and how to avoid one
* Ways to research a web hosting company to find out if they’re really making security their highest priority
When it comes to the Internet, most people don’t want to bother with dry, technical security stuff and would rather just believe they’re probably safe enough. But according to Nick, only about 25% of at-home users really are safe enough from hackers while on the net.
So listen to this audio, see where you stand on these security issues. Some of them are easy to fix while others might open your eyes to some potentially devastating problems. And if you decide to order Nick’s Internet Course through my site, you’ll also get a 30-minute consultation with Nick. So you can personally ask him as many specific Internet questions as you can think of. And believe me, he’s just the guy to answer them. Enjoy.
This is an exclusive interview from Michael Senoff's www.hardtofindseminars.com.
What You Should Know About Internet Security Before It’s Too Late
Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s short masterpiece about a ranting, slightly mad civil servant. The stylistic inventiveness, and the insights into the absurdities and weakness of humans seem so fresh and incisive today that if published now (a century and a half later) Notes would be considered an avant-garde post-modernist triumph. In some ways this is a heavy text, laden with conversational philosophizing; but the vividness of the narrator make it a wonderful read, and funny.
(Review by Hugh McGuire)
Librivox: Notes from the Underground by Dostoyevsky, Fyodor
Born in the Marshalsea Prison for Debtors, Amy—Little Dorrit—the daughter of the ruined, but self-respectful William Dorrit, has put her entire heart in caring for her dear father, until one day her humble path is crossed by Arthur Clennam. Their meeting proves providential not only for Amy's life, but for the whole Dorrit family, whose new rise will, in many ways, be also their fall. As in all his novels, in "Little Dorrit" Dickens ushers us into a fascinating and startlingly rich world of human characters and destinies, where virtue and nobility cross swords with vice and villainy, where strength and weakness intertwine with prejudice and magnanimity and where the author's inspired pen wields a compelling and unforgettable power over the readers.
