Stories of Our City is a worldwide project to cultivate community and understanding by sharing true stories from around the globe. We use the stories of people to build community, bring reconciliation and vocalize hope.
In a world that has been made small by the internet and saturated by vast amounts of information, we are still separated and segmented in so many ways. Unfortunately, information does not necessarily bring empathy and understanding. Stories of Our City is trying to bridge this gap and provide a way to connect with people all over the globe. We believe that the universal nature of âstoryâ allows people of every culture to find the commonality that builds community and understanding. There is something about a story that draws you in, makes you listen and join in the action. And by listening you create space for empathy and community.
