The pharmacist and consumer Cold-Care Myths surveys point to a clear need for consumers to be educated about colds - how they catch them and how they treat them. The results indicate that consumers harbor a number of myths and misunderstandings about colds, which could negatively impact their health and the health of their families. The results also showed that pharmacists have a key role to play in educating consumers on early intervention and helping them identify the best remedies to help consumers get over their cold faster. It is important for consumers to know how to best address colds at the first sign of symptoms with products like Zicam, which can help reduce the duration of a cold instead of just providing temporary symptom relief.
