This podcast channel (web feed) includes video versions of all presentations published during the 2007 K-12 Online Conference. Learn more on www.k12onlineconference.org. The K-12 Online Conference invites participation from educators around the world interested in innovative ways Web 2.0 tools and technologies can be used to improve learning. This FREE conference is run by volunteers and open to everyone. The 2007 conference theme is “Playing with Boundaries”. This year’s conference begins with a pre-conference keynote the week of October 8, 2007. The following two weeks, October 15-19 and October 22-26, forty presentations will be posted online to the conference blog (this website) for participants to download and view. Live Events in the form of three “Fireside Chats” and a culminating “When Night Falls” event will be announced. Everyone is encouraged to participate in both live events during the conference as well as asynchronous conversations.

Young Nanak refuses to take the Hindu traditional thread (janao) in a family ceremony. He said that the thread will wear away but his love for God will not. He told them that the thread represented some virtues so he would rather wear the virtues themselves.

Bidhi Chand used to be a thief before he met Guru Hargobind. The Emperor, had intercepted two beautiful horses named Dilbagh and Gulbagh that were going to be given to the Guru. Bidhi Chand used his skills one more time to steal the Guru's horses back from the emperor and unite them with the Guru.

Mr. Singh told Harpreet and Simran to write their names on a piece of paper, and nobody should see them write it. Harpreet went to a secret cave where no one could see. But Simran gave her sheet to Mr. Singh blank. Simran told him that she couldn't write her name because God is everywhere.

Mata Ganga who was the wife of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, could not have a baby, so she went to ask Bhai Budha for this blessing. After rejecting her once, Bhai Budha accepted her offering. As he ate he crushed an onion with his fist, he said, "Your son will be a master of heaven and earth. He will crush enemies like I crushed this onion."

When Nanak was a little boy he went to school, and he wasn't interested in learning the alphabet. He only wanted to chant Gods name. His teacher asked him to recite the alphabet and Guru Nanak recited it without ever being taught. The teacher was so impressed that he fell to his knees and bowed to the young Nanak.

Humayun went to Guru Angad to get blessing and restore his rule. He got angry that the Guru didn't give him respect so he went to kill the Guru. Then Guru Angad told him that he is quick to kill men of God, but couldn't defend his on kingdom. Humayun bowed to the Guru and asked forgiveness.

A few soldiers in the Indian army were driving and their jeep broke down, and they had to walk through a dangerous jungle. There was a large cobra snake in his way. Instead of shooting the snake the major, said to let the cobra be, and they would pass in peace, and so the soldiers both went through the jungle peacefully.

Harnakash the king made everyone chant his name, but his son Prahlad refused, saying he would rather chant on Ram. Harnakash became very angry and tried to kill Pralaad, but God Himself saved Prahlad. Then God appeared in the form of a man lion to punish Harnakash and killed Harnakash for his treachery.

There once was a man who never prayed. One time he was eating with his family and the ground started to shake. It was an earthquake. The man felt that this would be the end of his life and he found himself praying, "Oh God save me! My Dear Lord show Your grace!" After the earthquake was over, all his family was hurt and his house was damaged. He yelled towards the sky, "I've only prayed to you once and there is only disaster! Why should I pray if this is what happens?!" Then the clouds gathered together and a voice spoke from above....

Once a man went to visit an old friend. They had a fun time and when it was time for him to leave, his friend said, "I want to give you a horse, it's a gift to you, please take it." The man left with his new horse, but there was a problem. The horse wouldn't listen to him. No matter what he did, the horse just came right back to where they came from. He needed to train the horse. We all have a horse that was given to us as a gift. We all need to train it too. Do you know what it is?

His adviser didn't understand why he wouldn't want to be king anymore, "It takes 100 days to ride from one end of your kingdom to the other. What could be bigger than being the ruler of a great kingdom?!" No one understood why, but the king stepped down and then left his kingdom. What did he want to do that is greater than being the ruler of a kingdom?

The Mughal emperor had sent his army so lay siege on Anandpur. Two generals named Wajir Khan and Zabardast Khan were camped two miles away from the Anandpur fortress. The two generals were playing a game of chess when an arrow came out of nowhere and hit the leg of the platform they were sitting on. "Who shot this arrow?!" they demanded. A local hill chief said, "It must be the arrow of Guru Gobind. I've heard many rumors that his arrows can to at least two miles." Is it possible? How could an arrow travel that far?
